Zombies is Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5’s separate cooperative quarantine experience in New York. Community documentation describes story and repeatable missions as well as survival-oriented activity, but the current mission tablet and HUD define what your server is asking you to complete. Build for sustained movement and team recovery, not a single ideal shot.
Read the current mission
Identify the task, destination, interaction, item, defense, and extraction condition before moving. Assign one player to monitor objective updates. When the prompt changes, regroup and confirm the next direction rather than allowing the fastest player to trigger another stage alone.
Use the Zombies Missions guide for mission workflow and the New York Zombies Map guide for route checkpoints.
Build for sustain
Choose a controllable primary weapon, practical optic, enough ammunition, and current medical or utility options. Confirm what can actually be resupplied or shared in the live mode. A high-output weapon is not sustainable if the player cannot replenish it or control it in a crowded approach.
Leave enough inventory attention for mission items. Do not let optional equipment hide the object required to advance or extract.
Hold a flexible formation
The lead watches the next corner or doorway. The center protects the item carrier and supports both directions. The rear watches the route already cleared. Keep enough spacing that one attack does not reach everyone, but stay close enough to assist immediately.
Announce pauses and reloads. A player who silently stops can become isolated as the rest of the squad crosses another intersection.
Control chokepoints without being trapped
Doors, stairwells, alleys, and narrow streets can limit enemy approach, but they also restrict escape. Before holding one, name a retreat direction and avoid blocking teammates. Rotate the injured or low-ammunition player away from the front.
If pressure exceeds the team’s ability to sustain fire, retreat to the previous defensible checkpoint. Do not wait until the rear route is already closed.
Protect mission interactions
Assign one player to interact while the others cover distinct directions. Give the interaction time to complete and watch for a new marker. Crowding the same terminal, item, or zone reduces awareness.
If the carrier is down or separated, secure the immediate area before attempting recovery. Verify how the current mission transfers or restores the item rather than guessing.
Preserve extraction capacity
Before the final stage, count ammunition, medical resources, and players. Keep one route back to a known checkpoint. When extraction appears, move as a group and follow its current interaction or zone requirement.
Do not assume the mission completes because enemies stop appearing. Wait for the interface to confirm completion and reward state.
Team role card
Lead
Reads the next space, controls pace, names checkpoints, and stops before the squad stretches apart.
Support
Covers interactions, helps pressured players, monitors supplies, and fills the angle the lead cannot watch.
Carrier
Tracks required items and objective changes, stays central, and announces every interaction or loss.
Rear
Protects the retreat corridor, reports pursuit, and confirms the team leaves each checkpoint together.
Learn from failed runs
Classify the failure: the team split, supplies ran out, the route trapped the squad, an objective was missed, or extraction was misunderstood. Change the matching behavior in the next run. Buying a different weapon will not repair route or communication errors.
Current enemy health, spawns, mission rewards, faction systems, and equipment behavior are version-sensitive. Use live evidence before turning any value into a permanent farming plan.
Rehearse a controlled withdrawal
Before a difficult mission, choose two nearby checkpoints and practice moving backward between them. The rear becomes the temporary lead, the lowest-supply player moves through first, and the former lead covers the final movement. Announce reloads and keep the corridor open. The goal is not to defeat every pursuer; it is to reach the next defensible position with the team intact.
This drill makes the retreat call familiar before pressure is high. If players collide or lose the route, widen spacing and select clearer landmarks on the next attempt.
Evidence status
Zombies and its New York quarantine setting are official. Story or repeatable mission groupings, survival systems, factions, enemy behavior, rewards, resupply, and extraction details are community documented and may change. The current tablet, mission prompt, HUD, and server behavior are authoritative.
