Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5 officially advertises more than 20 owned vehicles, boats, and helicopters. The best vehicle is the one that reaches the objective, carries the squad and supplies, survives the route, and can still bring everyone home. Ground vehicles are easiest to learn, helicopters trade precision for speed and access, and Operation Typhoon’s Sawang theatre makes watercraft a meaningful third category.

Vehicles List
Compare currently documented ground, air, and water roles without freezing stale prices or unlock levels.
Helicopter Controls
Start, hover, move, stop, land, use autohover, and coordinate fast ropes/countermeasures where installed.
Ground Vehicles
Choose transport, plan roads, park outside objectives, use seats/storage, and recover from damage.
Boats Guide
Operate Sawang watercraft with crew roles, safe speed, beach/dock planning, and a return route.
Choose by mission, not appearance
A small light vehicle suits a solo or small team on roads and is cheap to risk. A larger transport earns its cost when it carries the whole squad, equipment, or a mounted system that someone will actually operate. Armored or armed vehicles can survive and project force, but they attract attention, need crew coordination, and may be restricted by route width, bridges, or hostile systems.
Helicopters make long trips and difficult terrain manageable. They also require startup time, landing space, pilot concentration, and knowledge of anti-air threats. A large helicopter is not automatically safer: it can need more room and expose more passengers when the approach is poor.
Boats work when the objective and geography justify a water route. They are not floating armor. Passengers can be exposed, a high-speed approach can strand the hull, and a bad landing can leave the squad far from transport.
Operation Typhoon vehicle changes
The public 10.0 record lists the CB90, 11-meter NSW RIB, 7-meter RIB, RHICC, and RHIB 530 as watercraft additions. It also lists the UH-1N, Model 212, HR 530F variants, UH-60V improvements, and seating or interior work on larger helicopters. The official page confirms boats and helicopters as current categories.
Use these names to locate the live store or depot. The changelog record does not establish current price, level, research requirement, armor, speed, or universal availability. Check the current interface before planning progression around one craft.
Crew roles before movement
Assign the driver or pilot, navigator, gunner, and dismount leader. The operator controlling the vehicle should not also read a detailed mission panel at speed. The navigator calls the next turn, map grid, landing zone, or dock. Gunners conserve ammunition for actual threats. The dismount leader confirms everyone is clear before movement resumes.
Use concise calls: “engine on,” “moving,” “left side threat,” “landing,” “clear to dismount,” and “all aboard.” Agree on an abort direction. For aircraft, decide whether fast ropes or countermeasures are installed before the mission; a key binding cannot create missing equipment.
Route and parking discipline
Trace the route on the map and identify a fallback. For ground travel, avoid driving directly into the objective. Park behind terrain or a structure, face the exit, and keep enough distance that enemy fire and counterattacks do not destroy the vehicle.
For helicopters, use an approach with room to decelerate and a landing zone without trees, wires, steep slopes, or enemy fire. For boats, inspect water depth and shore access. Mark the craft’s location before moving inland.
Vehicle control and maintenance checks
Before departure, test steering or flight axes, camera, lights, doors, ramps, seat changes, mounted systems, inventory/storage, and the action menu. Operation Typhoon records improved vehicle audio, changed RPM/gearing behavior, and interaction sounds for doors, hatches, and ramps. It also says drivers/pilots can receive bonus cash for gunner kills, but exact reward behavior needs live confirmation.
Check vehicle condition after combat. If repair/refuel systems are available, use the current station and price. Do not base a long route on old durability or fuel assumptions. Carrying a damaged vehicle deeper can cost more than returning.
Mobile and controller considerations
Operation Typhoon added dedicated mobile driving and flying layouts. Configure them at the base. A touch layout that works on foot may hide vehicle controls; wait for the correct context and resize essential axes. On controller, confirm seat and action-menu prompts. Never learn a helicopter’s collective while carrying a squad.
Vehicle decision index
Solo short objective
Affordable light ground transport; park outside the fight and preserve the return.
Squad compound
Enough seats and supplies; assign driver/gunner and select a covered dismount point.
Long or rough route
Helicopter only with a practiced pilot, planned landing zone, and threat awareness.
Sawang water route
Boat with a named driver, balanced passengers, safe shore, and inland regroup point.
Common losses and recovery
If transport is disabled, move the squad to cover before opening menus. Decide whether the objective is close enough to continue and whether another vehicle can safely reach you. Do not stand around the wreck. If an aircraft or boat is unrecoverable, mark the location only if stored equipment can still be retrieved safely.
Prevent repeat losses by changing one cause: approach angle, parking distance, speed, crew role, or vehicle choice. Buying more armor does not fix a route driven into the center of a hostile position.
Evidence status
Vehicle breadth and platform support are official. Typhoon vehicle names and system changes are community reported from the detailed 10.0 record. Prices, unlocks, performance, durability, storage, repair, fuel, mounted systems, and reward values need current in-game checks.
